Everything happens online with an authorized Ontario commissioner for taking affidavits. Most appointments take 10 to 15 minutes.
Upload
Upload the document you need commissioned as a PDF, photo or Word file. Tell us what type of document it is and which organization is asking for it. We review it before your appointment and tell you if something is not eligible.
Verify
Complete secure identity verification by capturing your valid, government-issued photo identification. Your identification details are stored privately and shown to commissioners only as a verification result with masked data.
Video call
Choose Connect Now to meet the next available commissioner, or schedule an appointment for a date and time that suits you. You join a secure live video session from your phone or computer.
Sign
Your commissioner confirms your identity and location, confirms you understand the document and are acting voluntarily, administers the oath, affirmation or declaration, and then releases the signature fields for you to sign.
Receive
The commissioner completes the commissioner section, the final document is locked, a transaction reference and document hash are created, and your completed document becomes available to download.
